China Fast Figure: Trade Price Index

Import and Exports remain strong for China, though imports seem to be having a better time.

The trade price index for China illustrates that even in a trade war that China’s imports are increasing on the price index. Tariff threats aside, imports are a viable part of the Chinese economy. The concern that China is maintaining their dependency on being an import/export power instead of creating new economic avenues is still in play. Exports had a slight increase, but overall remain flat.
