China Information Network Vulnerabilities
Gloria Van Rees
Information security vulnerabilities are not to be underestimated. This data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Tech underlines the increasing importance being put on information security by China. Trends of information vulnerability are important like any other data point to track changes that could impact network security. The units are numbers of reported attacks, however how many vulnerabilities each point represents has not been disclosed. More troubling is a report from early 2018 by cyber-security company Recorded Future that revealed China altered vulnerability information to conceal their own cyber influence. In essence the data below are vulnerability issues that the government is admitting to. Head over to conversations tab where you will find the report from Recorded Future if you have more questions.
