While many people hope to see a Black people in the business world, it’s also important to profile those who have already made it to this point. The success stories and insight of those who have succeeded can help future Blacks in business succeed, and the positions of these people also allow them to enact meaningful change and policy from the companies that they are a part of. Some of the top companies in this regard are on the Standard & Poor's 500 Index (S&P 500), a selection of 500 stocks seen as a leading indicator of U.S. equity. What you may not realize is that over half of them, 303 in total, have Black directors. Black Enterprise recently compiled the companies in question, which includes the following big names. as follows:
