Are You Kidding Me? Over $2000 For The New Lebron 14’s

By Dr. Sinclair N. Grey III

How much would you pay for a pair of sneakers? That may sound like a foolish question because so many people spend over $150 for a pair of Jordan’s. Not only are people paying for these shoes, some people are robbed and even killed over a pair of sneakers. Think about it for a moment – sneakers have no appreciation value whatsoever and yet, people line up year after year in order to be one of the first ones to own a pair of Jordan’s.

LeBron James is arguably one of the greatest players in NBA history. He has won multiple championships as well as MVP awards. Without a doubt, James has accomplished what many NBA players only dream about.

Because so many people want to associate with a Champion, they will spend money doing so. On Thursday, January 19th beginning at 9:00 pm, there will be an auction of Lebron James’ new shoe – Lebron 14. You read it correctly – Nike is releasing 23 pairs of James’ shoe before they hit the stores.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, “The sneakers come with other memorabilia from the Cavs’ championship-winning season including a box made with wood from the Quicken Loans court.”

The price of the Lebron 14’s will start at $2000. That’s right; the starting price is $2000 and the price is going up.

In the game against the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day, James wore the sneakers in advance of the sale.

If you decide to participate in the auction and are fortunate to win, you’ll “get a replica of the Cavs Championship ring. The ring – made of Durilium metal and cubic zircon gemstones – was not the ring that players received, but it is the same one that members of the Cavs organization were gifted after the win.”

So far the lowest bid is $2102 and the highest bid is $3500. StockX is conducting the auction.
