Booking Agency Shares Most Affordable Vacation Cities
By Robert Stitt
CheapOair is an online travel booking agency. As the name says, they are all about saving money and providing a good value for their customers. Recently, the agency took a look at the cities that they promoted and put them through a matrix of their own design to decide which of those cities gave their visitors the best bargains. After analyzing 15 American cities, a panel of “internal travel experts” made their decisions. The results may surprise you.
According to Sam Jain, CEO and founder of the company that operates CheapOair, Fareportal, “Travelers booking their next trip to the winning cities of New Orleans, LA; Savannah, GA; or Pensacola, FL, can rest assured they’ll enjoy an effortless, budget-friendly and enjoyable travel experience.”
Here are some of the reasons those cities won:
New Orleans, Louisiana.
They don’t call it the Big Easy for nothing. CheapOair named New Orleans the “most effortless” for travelers. New Orleans is more than Bourbon Street, Mardi Gras, and even the French Quarter with its famed beignets. The Garden District has beautiful Victorian-styled mansions and gardens. There are street cars to ride, and you can view its reconstruction from the hurricane that almost completely wiped the city off the map. Sports fans can check out one of the hottest teams in football, the New Orlean’s Saints.
While Atlanta gets most of the press, Georgia has other cities, and Savannah is not only a beautiful place to visit, but CheapOair rates it the most affordable as well. There are plenty of sites to see and many of them are quite inexpensive to get into. Black Enterprises sums it up this way, “With charming mansions dating back to the Civil War and a beautiful riverfront for rejuvenation, Savannah offers the perfect blend of history and natural beauty.
If you’re not afraid of a little work, don’t mind spending a little more money, and are just looking for a good time, then CheapOair believes Pensacola is the place for you. Note that the city is not rated the most extreme, or wildest, although there are times (like Spring Break) when those words are fitting as well. Pensacola is the perfect mix of things to do and things to see. From great, calm beaches on the Gulf of Mexico to historic sites and a great museum and art scene, the city truly is enjoyable.
