Rapper Future isn't happy with Jay-Z's call for black male responsibility
This has got me feeling really guilty for liking trap as much as I do. On the one hand it's hard not to admire the drive and creativity of the sound cloud rapper on the other it's hard to dismiss the damage that kids thinking getting to know molly, percocet and lean is the way to get ahead. The worst of it though, and what really proved the point for me was the part about the shoes. My son has been blessed with talent and a physique that's allowed him to be active and even excel in select basketball and football. Basketball tournaments aren't so bad aside from the warm ups but you can't go to a football event without a dj playing the hardest unedited - yet somehow mainstream - rap that's out there. We attended the Nike Opening last year and it was the same thing - guys singing about things that if any of the talented young men out on the field would do they'd be kicked off their team or even out of college before they even get in. It sounds good and the kids say it gets them pumped up but what does it do to us to become desensitized to the sensational?
Speak my brother
That is 100% correct. They will not let you say it about other races. They understand the power of words.
