This hopelessness can often cause people to make poor financial decisions, throwing money away on worthless consumer items after believing that having wealth is out of the question for them. Perhaps the answer lies somewhere in the middle: There are systematic factors that keep some of us from having the same opportunities as others, but despite these challenges, there are ways that we can still find our way to success and prosperity.
