Great stuff! I have been reading your blog since I was in High School! I know there has been a lot going on since the beginning of the year but when I was at a coin shop this last weekend they brought up how Germany passed a law earlier this month limiting anonymous gold purchases to 2,000 euro. Anything over requires identification and a criminal background check as anti-money laundering directives. Also, private deposit boxes are now subject to search for state information gathering by law. I was wondering if you had any insight on that and thoughts about how the EU could follow suit.

The safe deposit box search is pure tyranny. In the US a gold coin purchase at a gold dealer requires ID also, its anything over $5000 I believe.
