How to invest in a 401K? I believe that there is a serious downturn coming in the stock market. My 401K has many options. I had been 90% stocks and 10% gold, but as of December I switched my allocations to 20% IAU gold bullion fund, 1% gold miners fund, 26% Money Market, 26% short term bond fund, 2% REIT, and 25% stocks (a little bit of everything including a bit of foreign, emerging market, and energy funds). Does this look like a good spread to play defense and then get back in later "if" I am right that it will tank?

Your best bet for a retirement is real state rental properties we have 10 rentals in NC that pay a monthly income of almost 6k a month we have a home there but live in N Myrtle Beach Sc I would sale all my stocks an invest in a sure thing one bad stock and you can lose everything. But good luck on you adventures

Thanks, I am interested in rentals. However, my 401K I can't really touch yet as I am 40 and I get a great match of 10% so I have to navigate this bubble with a nice chunk of my wealth in the 401K.
