Milton Friedman's thoughts on immigration sum up the whole issue succinctly. Early in the 20th century immigration to the USA was unrestricted, just show up and get to work, there was no welfare state. You can see the results. The whole equation changes with the welfare state. You just show up and collect welfare. You can see where that ends up. If we have a secure border and allow only those in who can work, pay taxes and contribute, let them in. Even Bloomberg when he was mayor would charge sponsoring families of immigrants if they collected welfare. Seems simple enough.

Oh, Lew Rockwell hating on immigrants who happen to mostly be not white. What a surprise.
