My daughter is 10 years old and seems interested in the stock market. Wall Street is something I barely understand and try to avoid but she seems gung-ho! She says she wants to buy stock. Is she too young?

Congratulations! You're raising a mini-mogul. Encourage her to learn more as you take the leap as well. Your 10-year-old is ready to buy stock (with you until she is 18 or 21, depending on your state’s laws). Have her select companies she knows like Disney, Mattel, Nike, etc. She can use money she has saved to buy the shares. Read the annual reports with her and help her track her portfolio.
