Amazon's profit margin is only 3.02% right now. So an increase to $15 minimum wage for their employees could really compress that already thin margin further. If the margin gets compressed too much, then they'd have to lay people off. Large wage increases are more easily handled by companies with fat profit margins.

As that increase goes into full effect, it could weigh upon the stock price too (if not sooner).
