Not sure if this will for sure happen or not. But Chinese forces are stacking up along the Hong Kong border. That could be intimidation but it could also be "invasion". Not sure yet. But if China takes over this capitalistic country, it may not be good for markets in the near-term. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-07-30/china-mustering-forces-hong-kong-border-quell-protests-white-house-source

At least three protests on the coming weekend and Monday strike are planning. Doesn’t look good.

Heya Sean,
I was thinking that Gold & Silver bullion/associated investments could benefit from this & that oil would be neutral. Any thoughts? Thanks & Best Regards, Jon

Interesting propaganda on their part. My friend is a missionary in the Philippines and his daughter goes to university in Hong Kong. They have been protesting for almost 3 months. Well before the "US started causing problems". They tried to pass a law on the anniversary of Tienanmen Square incident that would remove Hong Kong peoples' rights and plunge them back into mainland China rule. People took to the street in thousands to protest.

Yeah, they were trying to pass a law that was bowing to China. Agreed. And the US had nothing to do with that. Is funny how we get the blame though. Ha-ha.
