Watch - Jack Ma's speech inspires African entrepreneurs

Jack Ma addresses an audience of African entrepreneurs in Johannesburg.

Alibaba's founder Jack Ma once more shows he is a brilliant business man and leader. Whereas everybody writes off Africa, Jack Ma draws parallels between Africa and China in 1994, when he started his business. He registered his company three months before China was connected to the internet.

He then challenges the audience: People say; "how can Africa have internet companies? How can you do e-commerce? You don't have a credit card, you don't have the logistics, you don't have government support, you don't have anything." Jack then says; That's the opportunity! We are entrepreneurs, we make other people complain !

And in the end we see it's also a plug for AliPay. Nonetheless, a brilliant speech!
